Based on the beachfront in Perranporth (West Cornwall) the Ticket to Ride Surf Academy is officially up and running and open for lessons.

With a range of courses, the Ticket to Ride Surf academy has been developed to cater for every kind of surfer, from first timers looking to give it go all the way through to courses for hardened sea dogs looking to learn new tricks.

Having lived in Perranporth for the best part of 10 years, Sam Millar has returned from a second busy winter running TTRide South Africa Instructor courses to take on a central role as the academy’s Coaching Director.

“It has long been in Ticket to Ride’s plan to open a surf school in the UK and I couldn’t be happier to be the man in charge down here making it all happen,” said Sam.

If the met office are to be believed summer 2009 in the UK is set to be a beauty.

Either way we are looking forward to it.
